I wanted to say thank you to all who have prayed, and to all who have given again to help us through our journey. The unknowns are the scariest things, but I know that God knows, and that He is preparing our place, and the next step of this journey even now as my “momma heart” worries. I can feel the prayers, and they have given me a peace tonight.
As many have said, “God did not bring us this far to leave us now”. He has sent us awesome friends, and wonderful prayer warriors. For that I will always be so so so grateful, and humbled.
your story is very amazing mel - i can't wait to read any updates that you have posted. i just chippd in a little towards the tix home for Timothy!
ReplyDeleteHello, I am so excited to follow your journey. I have always thought Timothy was so cute. We adopted three babies from the ukraine. Arthur was one of them. He looked a lot like Timothy. I am praying that you guys will be able to save a little money there. We were told we were to far from the orphanage as well, but we still walked everyday. We enjoyed the walk. The food was pretty cheap to. Be sure to take a lot of snacks if you do not do well with foreign foods. I ran out of my snacks fast and I could not stand the food there, but a lot of people dont seem to mind!! You are almost there!!
ReplyDeletePrayers and HUGS Mel!!!!!!! Thinking of you often
ReplyDeleteMel,
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better today! I just wanted to let you know this: I thought of my time in country as sort of a camp-out! I didn't cook much, but bought meat, cheese and bread almost daily along with fresh veggies. I don't know what is available there right now, as far as fresh veggies and fruit. You should be able to eat pretty well without actually cooking anything. Also, try to find out where the locals eat out, it will be the best and cheapest food. We were surprised how cheaply we could eat out!
Can't wait to hear more!!
