The other side of the world... day 15

Today’s visits were the same as all the other days, about 45 mins in, he’s packing us up and ready to go back. LOL Poor kid… he might have a rude awakening coming on “Gotcha Day”! I have been talking to him about going home and flying on a big airplane, and things like that, of course, I highly doubt that he understands ANY of what I’m saying! I show him the photo book and say the words in his language for home, sister, brother, etc.

Two more days till court! YAY!! I’m very ready to move in to the “waiting” phase!! Then we can really start the countdowns!

John leaves here at 5 on Thursday evening, so he’ll go straight from court to the train station. He’ll get to Kiev a little before midnight and someone (probably Niko) will take him from the train station to the airport where he’ll just be hanging out till his flight leaves at 5:45 am. He’ll be home around 1pm on Friday. Of course, that’s because he’ll be coming back through all of the time zones again so his trip is like 26 hours, but he’ll get home the same day. hehe

Let’s see the excitement of the day… I bought a tomato! LOL Seriously, that’s my news.

Of course, even with a lack of news, I can assure you that I still just looooove our boy! Oh, I did try to show him how to do a summersault today. That was fun, he loved doing it though, and after a few, he just laid there like he was totally exhausted. That lasted about 4 seconds though, and he was up and runnin again! LOL He is a busy one. It’s been really nice to be able to take him outside for the last few days too.

Yeah, yeah… enough talk… here’s some pics!

From this morning's visit:
Hey! Real men wear pink!

A summersault... look at him bend right in the middle!

Going...

Phew! That takes a lot out of a guy! Let's do it again!

I can flyyyyyyyy!!

The rest were outside this afternoon... he loves to run & play!!

  1. I really like his outfits!! They are just so unbelievably precious- pink, orange, yellow!! We Americans have no sense of what goes together....

I see him playing on playground equipment and my heart leaps for joy for your little guy that he never has to experience what Aaron experienced and what Heath and Brady are experiencing every single day. I grieve for those kids who are not rescued before transfer. Praise God your little one will always be surrounded with color and now he has two people who will share that colored world with him. What a gift!
