The other side of the world... day 2 con't (aka dumb Americans! hehe)

Ok… first for the “dumb Americans” stuff. hehe We’re in the scary elevator, and it keeps going up… to 14… and down… to 8… up to 14… down to 8… Eeek… the 14 button is STUCK!!! We aren’t gonna get out of this one, I just know it… Finally on 8, the lady that was waiting for it gets in, and shows us how to use our key to pop the button out (obviously this is an ongoing issue hehe). DUH!!! Too funny!! Ok… then, there’s the walk/don’t walk signs. These really should be “HURRYUPBECAUSE YOUHAVE30SECONDS OR YOUWILLBEROADKILL” signs. LOL When coming here, don’t think you can leisurely stroll across the street… it’s RUN or watch the traffic pass. hehe

So, we set out this afternoon after finally talking to the kids (I MISS THEM!!). I swear we walked about 17890 miles today… mostly UPHILL. Who knew this city is soooo hilly (is that even a word?)? Anyway… we headed out to find TGIFs which really isn’t as far or hard to get to as we made it out to be. In my defense though, *I* knew we should have went left… John insisted on going right… ok, we went right… after a bit we called Niko! We went into the nearest store, and John gave the phone to the girl working there so that Niko could talk to her to find out just where we were!! Hmm… maybe this part should have gone in the “dumb Americans” section too. hehe Ok, so Niko tells us where we needed to go (left at that intersection instead of right thankyouverymuch) and we got there with time to spare. hehe It has really been an adventure, but I am NOT complaining, it’s been so interesting to see the city. AND we got home ok too, in the dark! Of course, it wasn’t really dark… the city lights where great.

I know that you aren’t here to read though… you want pics again, don’t you!? Well, you are just gonna have to wait a minute! Or scroll down and come back to the story later. LOL We had a GREAT time!! We got to meet the Lutz’s ( RR names are Marshall, Ashleigh, Elizabeth)they are here waiting for court. We also got to meet fellow Iowan (!!) Phillip Deen & sweet little Leeza!! AND… the Parkers!!! WITH adorable little Hannah (who let me hold her!!) and Bethany!!! What an honor!!! Oh let me tell you… how I have prayed for those little girls the past few days!

Ok, Ok… here’s the pics!
This one is all of us except David, he was taking the pics & did a great job! :)

This the Parkers (Kate is holding Hannah, and Charley is holding Bethany)
