This afternoon we decided to meet the Bachmans, and the Westbrooks for lunch. Cathy & Tully are here to adopt Marina & Anna, and we are heading to the same region. They are our adoption buddies. hehe The Westbrooks have already adopted Victoria & Anna, they are awaiting passports for the girls and then will head home. We went to a very nice little Italian-ish place, the food was awesome (and cheap!!). I realized that since we have been here, we have only eaten out three times, and have cooked in the other meals. It’s been really nice, and has kept our expenses fairly low. I didn’t want to buy anymore “groceries” though since we are leaving in the morning.
After lunch, we decided we better get some more water, and a few other little things since we’ll be missing breakfast in the morning by leaving so early (7 am train). We got some fruit, water, cracker thingys, and ok, yes, some chocolate! LOL They had Pringles at the store but they were like 28 bucks! Ok, that ends up being like $3something, but still, they didn’t go in the cart. LOL
We came home and I gathered and packed up most of our stuff, there are a few things left to pack in the morning but for the most part we’re all set. YAY!!
I just wanted to say for those non-RR folks that are keeping up with us through this journey; I haven’t mentioned Timothy’s actual city or region because I can’t really be too specific until we are finished with everything. I just don’t want to jeopardize anything by saying too much, and I wanted to keep my blog public so everyone could keep up with us. Timothy isn’t even his “legal” name (yet hehe). I’ll share more of the details like that once we’re home.
I did want to mention a couple of prayer requests… One, traveling mercies for us for tomorrow. We are very excited about finally going to Timothy’s home region. Nervous, but excited. Also, and maybe even more importantly… I have someone that I consider a very dear friend. We have never met, but I have prayed for her and her family for several months, and kept up with their adoption (nightmare) story all these months. God has truly blessed them with a wonderful little boy that had already been sent to a mental institution. They are struggling financially. Their adoption has left them in serious need. They own and operate a construction business, and have a house that they have built that is on the market right now, once it is sold, they will be in much better shape, but it’s very hard for them with it just sitting on the market (it’s in VA if anyone is interested!). Please pray for the Nalles, for the house to sell so that they won’t have to worry about money anymore. Also, for peace for Julia, I can tell that it is a huge burden on her heart right now. God is good, and He will come through!!
I know, I know… you want my daily pics… hehe Here they are:
This is an Italian place right outside of our apartment building... I told John today that it was my landmark... I just look for the fork in the road! hehe
LOOK at these boots!! About 90% of the women wear heels like these and walk miles in them! Whew!
Just another cool building
