The other side of the world...day13

I think Timothy is realizing that we aren’t going away. The novelty of these “Mama & Papa” people is wearing off. LOL It’s hard to entertain him during our visits because of the area that we’re in. I’ll have to post a pic of it since it’s hard to explain.

Today though, we got to go outside! It was a beautiful fall day, and there are leaves everywhere on the ground which made it even more fun because as we walked we kicked them, and I tossed some in the air. The boys (John & Timothy) thought I was nuts I’m sure. hehe Unlike at home, there is no “burn ban” on leaf burning, so the air had that smell to it. It was just a nice afternoon to play outside. It was also a nice distraction. Hopefully we can do it again tomorrow too.

We walked to the mall again for lunch. It’s really not as exciting as it sounds. I mean, eating out has it’s perks when you are at home, no cooking, no dishes to clean up, etc. Here though, we have to, so it’s not as much fun. Add to that the fact that most places do NOT have an English version of the menu, and very little English speaking workers… well, you get the idea. I will say though that pointing has gotten us pretty much what we want. Mc Donalds understands English, and there is a very good little pizza/sushi place that has a waitress who knows some English too.

We went there today and it was just our second time there, and she remembered us and came to wait on us. It was yummy and cheap($6.54 USD for a small/med sized pizza and two bottles of Coke Light (dt. coke).

Higher Mama!!

There was a cat wandering around on the playground, and Timothy was just absolutely enthralled with it! He just laughed and laughed. He kept pushing John toward it though, like "You go first, so if he bites it won't be me!" He didn't touch it of course.
