Whoever said court is easy was ½ right. It did go very smoothly, we presented our “case” and answered a few questions, and listened to everyone’s comments, the judge spoke, and it was done. That was the easy part. The other part that was “hard” was HOLY MOLY, I WAS SOOOO NERVOUS!! LOL The Bachmans went first. We waited in the outer waiting room. I took our scrapbook over and showed it to the orphanage representative, I think she’s like the Assistant Director or something like that, we see her from time to time when we visit. She is a very nice woman. All of the people we’ve encountered at his orphanage have been really nice, save for one slightly cranky Nanny but we all have bad days sometimes. hehe
After the judge gave her decision, we waited for a few minutes till everyone had left, I wanted to personally thank her. She kept saying “Congratulations” and “Good Luck” and I said “Spaseeba (thank you)” and shook her hand, I was crying (of course!) and just figured whattheheck, and I gave her a hug and said “Spaseeba” again. Yep, I hugged the judge! LOL
We missed our evening visit today because of court & bank stuff, so I don’t have any new pics for you. I thought I’d repost this one though, since it’s one of my very favorite ones…

ReplyDelete(Even though he's been so since you first laid eyes on his 2 dimensional little face through photos); there is still something so satisfying about it being official. Imagine having that little blessing in your home for 6 months; I wasn't able to fully breathe until we went to court which was almost 6 months later!!! It wasn't until then, that I realized that I had such a weight lifted. I've heard that even that amount of time is considered short!
I am so happy for Timothy and your entire family, what a blessing! What a wonderful life he has ahead of him. . .God Bless, ya'll continue to be in my prayers!!! ~:o)
