The other side of the world...day 16 (a little late!)

Sorry guys, I had my hands full yesterday with finishing up some school work, and trying to figure out a little situation that occurred here.

Nothing major. We have court tomorrow, and John HAS to leave on the 5:11 train to Kiev. He HAS to make his flight on Friday morning at 5:35. Our facilitator said that he can’t do that, he has to be with us to close out Timothy’s bank account. I have found out though that he really does not have to be with us, I have a power of attorney to cover that very task, so now I just have to remind the facilitator of that POA and have her arrange for John to make that train. I didn’t want to call her last night though because it was getting late, so of course, I obsessed about it all night. Ugh!! We really need an on off switch for our brains some nights. LOL

I woke up this morning with the Truth song “God is in control” in my head. How’s that for an early morning message from Him?

Timothy was adorable as always yesterday. He’s starting to show us his “attitude” though. hehe When he doesn’t like something, or he is frustrated, he growls, or yells. We’ll work on that once we get home. I’m sure once he learns how to talk, he’ll be able to verbalize those things, but for now the growling and yelling is all he knows. It doesn’t happen often, but it’s there.

I think he is starting to understand some phrases too, or at least my charades. He will throw something, or something will be out of our reach and I will say “Go get it” and point to it. He’s probably understanding the pointing better than the phrase, but he will go pick up whatever it is and put it in the bag, or bring it back to the carpet. He’s such a sweet little guy, he craves approval, and affection. I’m very happy to give those things too. hehe

Ok… here are a few pics…

This is a gas station sign... look at the prices!! We thought WE paid a lot!! Hehe Actually though, that is grivna, the top one converts to $1.01 in US dollars!

Shots of the area that we visit. The doorways are open, so he likes to take off, not so bad on one side because there is the hallway, but on the other it's just a little landing at the top of a flight of cement steps... hard to contain him in here some days!

He loves to slide!!

Pushing the baby on the swing...

We got a new bag for the legos, it's a lingerie bag but it works! He spent a long time filling it up and zipping and unzipping...

John brought a pen and paper, so Timothy went right to work!
