First just let me say, Renee you are NUTS! I love you but you are your own for your trip to Russia! hehe
To answer a couple of questions. We fly out before the chickens are even awake on Saturday morning from Kiev to Frankfurt. From Frankfurt to Chicago, and Chicago to Moline, IL. Then we’ll have about an hour trip home. Although, we’ll probably stop and get something to eat while in Moline since it will be about suppertime (for the rest of the family, we’ll be ready for BED I’m sure!). We get it around 4pm Saturday, November 20th!!
I am thinking that any winter/warm clothing should be no bigger than a 3T. He is very little. 2T will fit him for a while I think. LOL Anything spring/summer, no bigger than a 4T. I have a couple of 5T things that he probably won’t get to wear till he’s in about 3rd grade! LOL
I came home from our morning visit and bagged up all of the “extra” toys that we brought. Timothy has a little Toy Story backpack that has a bunch of goodies in it for our train and plain ride (although, I’m hoping he sleeps a little!). Since we’re staying with the Bachmans in Kiev too, I decided to give all of the other stuff to the orphanage. Between the three of us, we’ll be sure to keep the three kiddos busy. Hopefully the weather stays nice and we can get out in the city once we are there and toys won’t be needed anyway. hehe When looking for an apartment (we did it on our own since we want to stay together), we looked in the area of the city that we already know, that way we won’t have to learn a new place in the short time we’re there. hehe
I have most everything packed and ready to go! I have to go to the grocery today and get the “goodies” that I wanted to take to the kids and Nannies. Tomorrow we are having our “going away party” with his groupa. I so hope that they will let me be a part of it, and take some photos. He might never see these children again, and while I don’t know all of their names, I do know their faces, and they were a part of his little life up to this point.
I promise to catch up on pics on Wednesday once we’re settled in Kiev!
Ohhhhhh my goooosh!! I can't believe we get to meet him soon & see you again!! I cannot wait!
