Today was pretty much like other visiting days. It was a little odd though being there after having a taste of freedom yesterday. Hehe
We did get a call from Marina though, Gotcha Day will be on Tuesday. We’ll be getting passports, grabbing the kids, and heading for Kiev all on Tuesday.
We are planning to have a little “good bye” party though at the orphanage. I’m going to take some fresh fruit and some biscuits to pass out to everyone in his groupa. I’ll also take some gifts to a few of the ladies, and some goodies (just some chocolates) for the Nannies.
I have already put together his little “Gotcha” bag with his clothes, coat, and shoes in it. I’m READY!! hehe
Today we went to the open air market and I got a fuzzy blanket for the train trip and the plane trip. This is me hoping that he sleeps! LOL
We are hoping to get to meet up with some other RR families/couples in Kiev. It will be fun to be the ones on the going home side of the journey and get to show off our kiddos.
Only *8* more sleeps till we are HOME! Not that I’m counting or anything… hehe
Hooray, you are almost there! It's going to go so fast! We'll be in Kiev from Saturday-Wednesday. We fly out on Thursday morning, hopefully we can meet up with you guys!!! So happy for you and your journey!!

Wish we could meet up with you, but it doesn't look like it will work out. We've got Gotcha Day on Mon, then Thurs at 0200 in the AM we're heading to the airport for an early morning flight. Tues and Wed will be embassy stuff. If you think Wed might work, let us know.

ReplyDeleteYAY!! The end is FINALLY in sight!
ReplyDeleteI remember picking out each of my children's outfits when they came home from the hospital. Isn't that sweet that you are doing that now to bring your little one home. Life takes us to some unexpected places, love brings us home...
