The other side of the world... day 36... Gotcha Day update!!

I know that no one really wants to hear the story so go ahead and scroll down and look at pics, then come back and read the update.  LOL
Ok… now that you’ve seen the pics…
Yesterday started out sloooooowly.  LOL  The Bachmans did their morning visit but I didn’t go to mine.  We were already pretty much packed, there were a few things that still needed done, but I didn’t want to do their stuff and wasn’t all that sure about the kitchen stuff, so I didn’t do it.
At 1:30, as planned, our driver came and took us to the passport office.  Unfortunately, there was an issue with Marina’s paperwork (the orphanage put the wrong name on the papers!).  THANKFULLY, God was listening the whole time we were sitting there praying, and the mean passport lady let us go.  Only though with promises from our facilitator Marina that she would come back and fix things as soon as she was back in town.
We all headed back, loaded up the cars, and one driver and I headed to Timothy’s baby house, and the other driver and the Bachmans went to bust out Marina.
When I got to the baby house, I took his passport in and showed it to the Nannies.  Two of my faves were there, and I am so glad that they were so that they could say good bye.  I gave laid his clothes out, and one of them dressed him (I didn’t mind letting her since it was the last time, and I could take pics that way hehe).  I showed the bag of stuff that I was donating to the other one, and she said “Thank you” in English, over and over.
All the while they were dressing Timothy, the other kids were asking questions, and the one Nanny was telling them that Danil was going home to America with his Mama & Papa.  Then I heard her say “Timoti” so I think she was telling them that was his new name.    I was taking pics and bawling like a big baby.   I should have taken some of the kids, but didn’t.   I did take one with him all dressed with the two Nannies though.
We had to go to the office and sign a couple of forms, so I also got pics with the Director and the head Nurse, Tatiana.  She is the one that went with us to court.  I was so happy to get those pics.  Of course, I’m still crying at this point.  LOL
As we walked out and past his groupa window, the older of the Nannies was there, and waved and waved.   She loved him so.  She had tears in her eyes when we left.
When we got outside the gates, I had my (other) driver, Aluna take the photo of us on the outside.  hehe   FREE!!!!
The train ride was basically uneventful really.  All six of us were in the compartment together.  All of the kids did really well.  Timothy had some poopy issues though, thank God for Pull ups!  He cried when he went, I think more because he was going in his pants though.   I had let him have some juice earlier.  Won’t be doing that again.  LOL
When we got to Kiev, Nico was there to get us with another driver.  We got to our apartment, which is completely WONDERFUL!!  The kids were pretty much awake again, so we gave them baths.  Timothy LOVED it.  He let me wash his hair and scrub his little toes(they were so dirty!).  When we put on PJs, he was a little confused because I let him be barefooted!  Do you know that until last night, I had NEVE R seen this child’s feet!?   LOL
By this time it’s nearly 2 am.  We were all pretty exhausted, well the grown ups anyway!  So we tried to get everyone to settle in for some sleep.  Timothy was awake until nearly 3am, and ALL OVER the bed even after he did go to sleep, so I barely slept because I had to keep grabbing him so he wouldn’t fall off on his head.   Tonight, we make a pallet on the floor.  Mama is exhausted!!
He didn’t take a nap today so hopefully he’ll sleep tonight.
Today for lunch, we met up with the Howells, Lindsey, Scott, & Jackson.  Oh he is SO cute!!  And very sweet.  Timothy did pretty well at the restaurant, but yelled all the way home in the stroller.  Not crying, yelling… I just basically let him.  LOL  Hey, we’ll never see these people again, right!?  hehe
Tonight for supper, we’re meeting up with Meredeth & Michael Cornish (adopting Wesley & Aleksa), and Melissa Lorenz & her new daughter Leeza.  We missed getting to see Charrissa, she left early this morning.
This has been an adventure, and I am SO happy to be heading HOME on Saturday!!  Hopefully the papers that John was supposed to send via email made it since the ones he mailed more than 2 weeks ago never did… Gulp!!
Ok... they made it!  I have them on the thumb drive in case they didn't recieve them at the Embassy.  Still no idea where the hard copies are though.  Grrr!!
We had a nice visit with the Cornish & Lorenz.  Pics of that adventure tomorrow!!   Then Timothy & I went to the grocery and the Bachmans came home.
I have to say, he is doing SO well with going potty, and letting me know when he needs to.  And everything else, given the craziness of the last few days.  I'm SO proud of him.   He's running me ragged, but it's ok.  I love this kid!!!
Oh, one more thing, today when we talked to John and the other kids on Facetime from an internet cafe', they were all SO happy to see him "for real"!  Olivia kept saying "I love you Timothy".  I can't WAIT to be home and for all of my kids to finally be together!!   Three more sleeps... speaking on which, the boy child is asleep... think I will join him!
Getting dressed in his OWN clothes to leave the baby house!!
These are my favorite Nannies, the one on the left LOVES Timothy so much.  She was teary when we left.

Here we are on the OUTSIDE!!

His first real bath!!  He LOVES it!!

Playing in the Living room (with Evan's sock on) before bed!

Lunch at a Ukrainian cafeteria today.  His first meal out in public.  He did really well until he chucked that sippy cup at the lady beside us.  It promptly broke.  Ugh!  LOL
