The other side of the world... day 28

I am beginning to wonder if someone told Timothy he needs to be nicer to me.  LOL  He was a sweetie pie this morning too.  He just gets this big smile, and is so excited when he sees me.  It just melts my heart. 

Today we had our snack inside, and then we went right outside.  I didn’t even try to get him to play with the toys because it was just way too nice outside to be doing that.  Today I took him his yogurt, and some biscuits, and a new treat, a box of raisins.  He had some yesterday too.  I have been trying to think of “travel friendly” snacks, and dried fruit seems to be a good one, so I’m going to see if he likes a few others too and stock up for the train and plane trips.  He’s also getting better at eating one piece at a time, John, remember how he’d try to shove it all in his mouth at the same time when we first started taking things to him? 

When we got outside, we walked around a little, and played in the various play areas, and then went to what seems to be the main one for his little groupa, it’s right out front.  The cat that we see frequently was there again, and he just cracks me up when it’s around.  At one point this lady who was there visiting another child, let him play with this red ball, and bless her heart, I think she thought he was throwing it back to her, but he was actually throwing it AT the cat!!  hehe  He connected a couple of times but the cat didn’t really seem to care. 

I got to play with some of the other kids today again.  Their groupa came out around 10:30, and Timothy just wasn’t gonna stay away from playing with his little friends, and they were just not going to stay away from me!  LOL   A couple of the little girls especially want my attention, and I try not to be obvious but I do give it to them.  They just want a touch, or a tickle, or a smile from “Mama”.  It breaks my heart.  I haven’t seen any of the girls have visitors since I’ve been coming and going.  Sigh…  They all need a Mama…   If I can give them a little bit of extra attention for just a moment, maybe they will know that they are thought of. 

Our driver got us tickets to the circus for today.  I don’t think I’m going to go though.  I have to admit to feeling guilty doing “fun” things while I’m here because this trip has caused such upheaval at home with my family, my daycare families, etc.  I know that sounds a little odd, but it is what it is.  Not to mention, going to the circus “alone” isn’t all that fun.  None of my kids can go with me, John can’t go with me, I’m just not really in the mood to go.  Probably sounds nuts, huh?  LOL

A nap does sound good about now though…

I’ll try to add pics tomorrow.  Can’t do it from the apartment.  The connection is too slow.
