The year 2010 is history!!

And what a year it was!!
Last New Year’s day, if you had told me what was in store for us, I would have laughed like crazy!!  Never in a gazillion years would I have imagined what God had in store.
I think one of the most important parts was my renewed relationship with Him.  Of course, even that wouldn’t have happened if not for Timothy.  Looking back, I see where He was, but *I* wasn’t there.  He seriously used Timothy to bring me back to Him.  There were other ways He could have done that, but I’m so happy that He chose that sweet little boy as His vessel.
2010 was full of blessings.  So many that counting them would take days, maybe even weeks!   God put an old friend back in my life that led us to a new son, many, many new and wonderful friends through our adoption journey, strengthened our marriage, and changed things in me that I never would have thought possible.  He showed me things that made my heart happy, and things that broke it too.  He sent us to a place that opened my eyes to so much more than my comfortable existence had allowed.
Of course there were trials.  Oh, how I was tested!!  Ya know what though?  God came through for us every single time!  Go figure.  hehe  He provided just what we needed, in just the time that we needed it.   There was sadness, things that might not have had much of an effect on me “before” brought me to tears, and left me raw and vulnerable in a way that I’d never experienced before.  In those times God’s presence was so obvious to me that not acknowledging Him would have been like turning a blind eye to the beauty of the world around us.  He used those times to break me, and make me painfully aware of just how far away from Him I had allowed myself to become.  Whew!  Glad He is a forgiving and loving Father!
I am looking forward to the new things that God has in store for our family this year.  I have seen many families grow through adoption.  I have seen so many beautiful children rescued.  I hope that in the coming year God will use me to help bring home others through advocating for them, and helping in any way that He leads.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention a few prayer requests to start off this wonderful new year.  Pray for the “Lost Boys”, and the ministry who is reaching out to them.  Pray that the Lord will continue to work in that place where they exist.  The other waiting children.  The families who have yet to be touched and directed to their children who are waiting for them.   Pray for God to continue moving in my family, my children, and my marriage.  For healing in other areas of my life if it is His will.  Our finances.
Thank you so much for your friendship.  Without my friends, my life would be pretty boring.  I love each one of you!!  Happy happy happy New Year!!! I pray God's richest blessings on each of you, and His love and peace as well!!
