Happy Thursday!

Today I had a new daycare boy.  He is the sweetest little guy.  He and Timothy got along really well.  He is part time for now, but if they want to come full time, that would be good too.
The new little guy was only here for a few hours today and none of the other kids were here today, so it was just me, Timothy, & Olivia.  We had naptime as usual, and then we made some cookies.   It was fun, and Timothy seemed to have fun too, although, all he did was giggle.  hehe  I couldn’t take any photos of the excitement though because everytime I took my eyes off of him for a second, he was digging into the cookie dough, and grabbing the chocolate chips.  LOL
Tomorrow looks like a full day of kiddos (well, 3 of the 5 will be here lol), so it should be a fun day.  I can’t wait to put in the signing times DVDs again with the others here.  Today, Timothy was so sweet, I asked if he wanted milk or water, and did the signs for each too.  He signed milk AND pointed to it!!  This tells me that he knows what the sign means!  He’s so dang smart!
We applied for his Social Security card yesterday.  When we checked, they hadn’t gotten any paperwork for him (even though I know I checked that pesky box on the form at the Embassy!).  No biggie.  Once it is here, we can move on with other things.  We go to the ophthalmologist on Monday, and then the Center for Disabilities & Development on the 19th to see the developmental pediatrician.   I am hoping that they can get us started on getting his eyes fixed (he has strabismus).  We’ll also see if he is far sighted like they said at the orphanage.
We found out that the SDA in Ukraine opens up again for new submissions on February 10th.  This means that lots and lots of families will get to start getting their dossiers submitted so they can go get their kiddos!!  YAY!!
I’m sure I could babble about bunches more stuff but for now, I’ll just remind you of my Jewelry giveaway for the LANE family!!  Every dollar gets your name in the hat for a FREE piece of jewelry from my Etsy shop!!  Just donate via the chipin on the right, and make sure you say that it’s for the LANE family!!!  Easy Peasy!!

  1. Dash, my four year old, has a slight strabismus. When he tries really hard to focus on something one of his eyes start to turn in. Six months ago he started wearing glasses and it has really helped alot. Have a great weekend.

    Love wins,
