Last night and today were both pretty low-key.
Last night, Stacey came over and we played “Mexican Train Dominoes”. It was really fun; I’m even considering getting a set. I think that the kids would enjoy it too, and even the little ones could “play”. We also played ‘80s Trivial Pursuit. Hehe That is always fun.
Olivia had a little friend spend the night. Kati spent the night at her friend’s house. John was off work. We had pizza for supper, and just cookies and “junk” munchies. The girls went to bed a little later Timothy went to bed around 8. I think Joe made it to midnight. I know Kati and her friend did because she called to wish us a Happy New Year & Happy Anniversary. I think it was like 2 am when we went to bed.
Today being our anniversary, John and I went out to lunch (with a GC from our FB Secret Santa!) at Applebees. It was actually pretty good. Last time we went there it wasn’t really very good, the service wasn’t good, the food was “eh”, and the prices were too high. I think they have re-vamped their menu/pricing, because it was good today. And surprisingly the bill wasn’t too bad either. hehe
After lunch we came home and just spent time with the kids. I even took a nap!
Dessert tonight was ice cream. Yep, I broke that “no cold stuff” rule again!! LOL Seriously, he is fine with cold stuff, he even prefers his drinks cold now. YAY!
Here are some pics from last night, and today!
