The Weekend!!

I started this last night so thought I’d go ahead and post it too…
The usual Saturday stuff today was rather hurried, this was my week to vacuum the church(I made Kati go with me to take out all of the trash while I was doing that so it’d go faster hehe) then we went to the store and got a few things that we would need as far as groceries, and then came home so Kati could “make” her sweet potatoes for tonight.   We have to be at the Girl Scout camp this evening, they are making dinner for the parents, and then staying out there for a “camp out” complete with Wii “Just sing”.  LOL   So, it’s been a hurried day today.
I was hoping to get to scrapbook a little… maybe tonight.
Joe had a trip with his school SE class yesterday and on the way home (just outside of the city they went to) the school bus broke down!  Ok, this wouldn’t have been a horrible thing except the bus was full of special needs kids who were all a little freaked by it, it was horribly cold, and snowing.  The kids handled it pretty well though, and it only took about an hour before there was a bus there from another district to meet up with the other one being brought from here to bring them home.   They got back safe and sound.
SUNDAY
We did have a nice supper with the GS last night.  Timothy ate ham!!  We have been sneaking meat in on him a little at a time by grinding it up and adding it to his other foods.  Last night I put it on his plate, and he just ate it!  Woohoo!!  I have been leaving him sit with his plate lately and that is causing him to try new things.  I used to take the plate away as soon as he was finished with his choices of foods so that he wouldn’t make a mess.  I have found that if I leave it, he will try the other things that are there after he eats his first choice.  I still give him bread with each meal, so I know that he at least gets that.  LOL  He did try a green bean too… it ended up on John’s plate though.  hehe
Church today was fun.  I am teaching the 4-5s during the worship service for the next three weeks.  Olivia was so excited.   We had fun, and the kids seem to enjoy the lesson too.
It’s been snowing all day today.  Probably not much accumulation though.  It’s been pretty.  It didn’t stop us from bundling up and heading out to Subway for supper.  We got a GC in the mail this week from a very nice reader of our blog who thought we needed to go out as a family (man, she was SO right!!).  Thank you again Courtney!!   Afterward, we needed a few things from Wal-Mart so we headed there before we came home.  Baths have been taken, and the little ones are getting ready for bed.
Here are a few pics from the last week or so….
