Sunday evening

Woke up this morning to our “blizzard”.  We got about 2 inches of snow, over about ¼ inch of ice.  That makes it tough to go anywhere, because it’s so slick, but when you add 30-40 mph winds, THAT is where the “blizzard” comes in.  It was very hard to even see the house across the street for a little while this morning.  Church was cancelled (most were) so we just made it a “stay-home-and-do-nothing” day.

Olivia was upset that we weren’t going to church, so I distracted her by letting her help me make breakfast (scrambled eggs & toast).   After that I was just in the mood to make stuff, so I made the ranch/dill crackers, chex mix, oreo balls, and no bake cookies.  I made mac n cheese for lunch, and cleaned the kitchen and got the laundry started(might finish that part tomorrow).  I have some mending to do that I’ve been putting off, and yep, I’m still putting it off.  LOL  And, as I type I have hair color on my head.  hehe

Olivia is sleepin, but Timothy won’t give up.  Ugh… might be a rough evening.  

I hope to get to go upstairs to my scrapbook area in a little while if Elvis in there will take a nap… hehe  (he “sings” when he is in bed… usually he goes to sleep though).  Oh, it’s quiet in there… maybe he finally passed out. 

Later:

No nap for Elvis.  Instead he pooped/peed all over.  Ugh!!  Well, he got out of bed and got a bath out of the deal.  Still icky!   We have to find a happy medium at naptime. 

After supper I finished wrapping the Christmas presents.  I hope the thing I got for Joe comes though, it’s the biggest thing he asked for, and the thing he wants the most.  The website says it’s available tomorrow, so I’ll be looking tomorrow to make sure that hasn’t changed.  If it did, I’ll have to call and get a refund and find it somewhere else.  That also means I’ll likely have to pay “express” shipping to get it in time for Christmas.  ACK!  NOT an expense I counted on (I got free shipping on the one that I’ve already ordered).  

So, since I accomplished so much today, I’m being lazy tonight.  I never did make it upstairs to my scrapbook area, but I will eventually.  LOL   Now if the kids would quit arguing…
