Today was the BIG day!! Dentist appointment day!! LOL All four kids had cleanings, and got new toothbrushes, and the bi-annual lecture about brushing better (especially Joe!). NO cavities for anyone though!! YAY!!
Olivia’s teeth are looking awesome. Timothy is missing two on the bottom (we knew that), and I got the chance to ask the Doc about a few things that I was wondering. Kati has a couple of “shadows” where there might be cavities if she doesn’t take care of them (she now has a prescription toothpaste to use), and God is the only one that keeps Joe from needing fillings because he does NOT take care of his teeth(that is going to change with his new shower regimen). All in all, a very good check up!!

He couldn't wait to get into the chair... since he was new though,
I held him and Dr. Matthews sat in front of me with his head on his
lap as he checked out his teeth. He did GREAT!!
This afternoon I finished making the rest of the cookies and candy for our festivities this weekend. Tomorrow we’ll decorate the cut-out cookies with Mom after we have our traditional Cuban Christmas Eve dinner. In the meantime, while I was busy in the kitchen, SOMEONE snuck into our front porch, and hung a little gift bag on the doorknob. Olivia noticed the door closing, she had NO idea who the person was though, she didn’t see them! She retrieved the little gift bag and brought it in to me. There was a very pretty Santa card attached. The outside of the card said that it was a gift just for John & I, and we could open the card, but not the gift (oh sure, tease me! hehe). The card said that it’s from “Facebook Friends”. The inside of the card made me cry (go figure! LOL). It said, “You two deserve a gift under your tree more than anyone we know! We are blessed to know you! What your family has done to bring Timothy home is just wonderful! Merry Christmas, Your Facebook Santas! We love & pray for you! PS- the gift is solely for John & Melissa!” All I have to say is that WE are the ones who are blessed!! I don’t have a CLUE who it’s from besides my/our FB friends, and we could narrow that down to around 500 local ones! LOL It doesn’t matter, the message is what matters… and we are SO BLESSED & SO THANKFUL!!! I can’t wait to see how Timothy is with all of the things that we’ll be doing over the next few days… icing cookies, opening presents… Lots of pics will be shared! As we come into this Christmas, I am so thankful for all of the blessings that God has given us. Our friends, our support system, our experience in Ukraine, our wonderful children including our beautiful new son. Thank you Lord for your love & protection & continued provision for my family. |

I can't wait until Timothy is in the middle of all that wrapping paper, having the time of his life. I wonder who that gift was from? Can't wait until you find out!
