John had to rewire the outlet that our dishwasher is plugged into tonight. Last night we were sitting here and the dishwasher was running and I heard a loud pop, and looked at the dishwasher and it was smoking! I’m no appliance guy, but I don’t think it’s supposed to do that! So after some investigating, we realized that the pop was the breaker in the basement. Then John found the outlet was scorched. Tonight when he took it out to replace it, it was really burned. If the breaker hadn’t thrown, it could have been a pretty scary fire. Thank you God for protecting us!!
He replaced it with a “safety” outlet. I’ve done a load of dishes, and all is well. I’m going to be sure to do the dishes earlier in the evening though so that I’m still up when it’s running from now on. Usually that is the last thing I do before I go to bed, turn on the dishwasher.
Tuesday is homework night for me now. I thought it would be harder to have it all due on Tuesdays instead of Sundays but it’s turning out to be a better thing. I have to register for my next classes by next week. They start on Sept 15th through Nov 9th. I have an email out to my advisor about them though because I need to be sure that the ones I choose don’t require a proctored final exam. Hopefully I’ll be there and back home before the end of the term, but IF I’m still in Timothy’s country, I won’t have access to my proctor. Soooo… hopefully we can find some without that need.
I realized a few minutes ago that I totally missed my friend Chrissy’s SU! Open House. Ugh!! It was storming earlier though, and I was working on homework, and Olivia didn’t take a nap today so it was a crazy night. I didn’t even realize it was Tuesday till Kati asked me! LOL
Ok…getting verrrrry sleeeeepy… hehe
I did want to say THANK YOU to whomever it is that has added to our FSP amount at Reece's Rainbow. I don't know who you are, but thank you so much!! We still need about $6500ish to be all set for our trip, etc. I've been thinking about it, and anything that we don't use for our trip, fees, etc, that is leftover I will donate to RR to go toward someone else's FSP so they can bring home their sweeties.
Please continue to pray for our boy and for our USCIS approval. Thank you so much.
