She saw him!!!! I’m sooooooo excited!!! I’m just going to copy/paste what she had to say about him (I don’t think she’ll mind (I’ve changed names and location):
“I really made a point to look at each of the boys today ...I think because I felt a little more comfortable with the Nannies. It didn't take me but 4 seconds because he was right there! He has these adorable eyes that just look at you waiting to see if you brought him anything. As soon as I saw him, I asked the nanny if this was Timothy (I had my hand on his head so he wouldn't get mixed up among the other boys with blonde hair LOL). They said Yes! Yes Timothy!! I knew it. I grabbed the bag you had sent me and I said same thing as I had said about Vlad yesterday. "Timothy has family....in America". I then pulled out your picture and said Timothy's Mama and Papa in America!! They all smiled ....They had a smile very curious and happy to see the pictures. I knew they knew he had a family no doubt becuse they nodded as almost as if they were proud they had found the family themselves. I then took out the blanket and said "This is for Timothy from Family his Family in America" Believe me they knew what I meant 100%. They smiled and I let him feel it. He loved how it was soft. I then handed it to the Nannie and reconfirmed that it was for Timothy. They took it gently with care and told him something in Russian. They were all outside playing so i could not just let him have it or it would get dirty.
Mel he seems to be in 2T clothes. He loves to play with the other kids, he looks healthy and very social. He is curious. We were playing on the blanket with our children and he left his group to come look at the play-dough. The Nanny came to get him. When you are with your children they dod not like the other kids to come over (this varies with orphanages). This one orphanage likes the newly adopted children to understand that this is there time. I wish I could take a picture but they will not let us. I am going to get one for you when Marina comes to the orphanage. I am going to bring her to him and ask her to translate that Vlad and Timothy's family need a picture. Please ask around to all your friends and see if any are interested in the other Danil(Mel here, he’s on Reece’s Rainbow, I can give info to anyone who might be interested! ). Your son and him play together in the same group. I know though there are not many people like us from RR who feel comfortable adopting special needs kids. I just wish they could see how so precious these kids are. I can't wait for you to arrive and it will be his turn to play and feel special. “
I’m so so so so happy!! I hope that Marina can get us a photo!! He sounds a little smaller than I thought, which is no big deal, I’ve been getting him 3 & 4T clothes, so I’ll have to pick up a few smaller things so they don’t fall off!
Oh I can’t WAIT to meet him finally!!!
2T?? What a peanut! That's what size I'm packing for Darya and she's 2. I do have some smaller clothes like 18 months that I'm bringing, too. I can't believe you're so close to your boy! I imagine you'll be traveling in October!
ReplyDeleteMarianne- I know!! I can't believe he's so little!
ReplyDeleteMegan- I'm sooooo excited!! It's so "real" now... hard to describe!!!
