Guess I need to get busy now... hehe

There are things that I have avoided doing or even thinking much about since it has taken so long to hear from the USCIS about our approval. I guess I didn’t want to jinx anything. LOL I’ve been gathering paperwork, and picking up a few things for Timothy here and there (gotta love clearance sales!), small things like that.

Now though, it’s finally time to kick it into HIGH gear!!

I counted up all of the money that we have and will have available. We are about $3000 short (that was my guess before I counted it, I’m good!). We’ll have it… God is just THAT good!!

I think I have enough stuff for Timothy for the trip, our visits, and our time in the capital before we fly home, etc. I might need to get him a heavier jacket/coat though since we’ll be traveling in Sept/October and they are very insistent on layering the children’s clothes.

I have gathered a few things for our trip, a few little gifts to take, our money belts, duffle bags, that sort of thing. We had clothes too but since we’re traveling later than we thought I guess we’ll need some jeans/pants and jackets too.

I have of course gotten our dossier paperwork ready, but today I put it all in the order that it will need to be sent. I’m going on Monday to get everything apostilled. As soon as I do that, I’ll fax it to be checked and then we’ll mail the whole thing to Timothy’s country where it will be translated and submitted to the State Department of Adoption.

Then there is the stuff I need to do to be able to leave the country and leave our other children in the care of family and friends. I’m going to do a Power of Attorney for my Mom to have the kids treated at the hospital, or so she can sign things for school, etc. Since John will be home after about 2 weeks, it should be a little easier than if we were both going to be gone for an unknown amount of time. We’ll have to leave some money for her so she can keep the kids alive by feeding them while we’re gone. hehe

We need to find someone willing to take us to the airport on the day we leave so we don’t have to leave our vehicle there, and to come get John when he comes home too!

So much to do!!! Adrenaline is totally flowing though!! Woohoo!!!
