I’ll be making a trip to Des Moines personally to get everything apostilled and get this monster of a dossier in the air to Timothy’s country!! YAY!! Keep praying!!
Of course, now I am nervous about whether or not he will actually APPROVE our application. I am a worrier. I admit it. I’ve already told you all that! :o)
I registered the other kids for school today. Eeep! Joe is going into 10th grade. It’s so hard to not add that “y” at the end of his name. He has requested, and reminded us, that he prefers “Joe”. Kati is heading to 7th grade. Jr. High. Holy Moly! LOL! Olivia is a pre-schooler again, this time though; she’ll be going 5 mornings a week, and she’ll get to ride on the school bus! The school is only like three blocks away, but they do a preschool bus route. The big kids go back on Aug. 29th, and Olivia goes on Sept. 9th.
I have already spoken to the director of the pre-school that Olivia went to last year, and she said not to worry, that they would have a spot open for Timothy whenever he might be ready to go to school. We LOVE Ms Margie!! I would LOVE for him to be able to go to Kindergarten with Olivia (and other kids his age), so even a few months of pre-school would be good for him to help with English, etc. Of course all of this will be dependent upon his developmental maturity, and his level of disability. AND on our bonding and his attachment to us. I don’t want to just take him and dump him somewhere unfamiliar if he’s not ready.
Ok… I’m babbling! Time for bed!
Please pray for our upcoming fundraising. We still need about $6500 before we travel. That would give us about $500 to leave here with my Mom for expenses while John is with me in EE. Once he is home, he will have $ to take care of things from his paychecks. Also continue to pray for Officer Merck to give us the green light. It’s so hard knowing that our little boy’s life is in his hands right now. But we faithfully believe that he is ultimately in His hands.
