One more step closer!!

So today went pretty well. There was a slight hiccup, but after going to the Iowa Dept of Criminal Investigations, and a couple of phone calls, all was set right again. Whew! Thirty apostilles!! $160. Gulp. Worth every penny though, of course!! When I got home, I put it all in order and faxed it to our facilitator. Hopefully she got it all! Our next step is to SEND it to Timothy's country for translation and submission!! YAAAAAY!!!

After the paperwork was done, I went to Archivers, I got a few things, there were BUNCHES more that I could have gotten. hehe Of course, I didn’t because all of our money is going toward bringing our sweet boy home! I met up with my friend Misty and we went to Fudruckers for lunch. YUM!! Thank you again Misty!! It was nice to catch up, and meet two of her little ones (well, one of hers and a daycare little). They were very well behaved!!

On the drive today I had the chance to think, and pray, and worship, and reflect. I like driving; it’s the best time to just be with God. I’m so blessed. I thought about my kids, and the journey that we’re on right now. It’s not one that they asked to take, but they are very happy to be taking it. They are all very excited about their new brother. I know it’s going to be hard to be away from them, I miss them when I’m just away for a couple of days, so being away for several weeks will be tough. Of course, I’ll have Timothy to keep me company. I had a chance to think about the last few years. It amazes me how we came to be at this moment in our lives. I never would have imagined it.

Of course, I’m so very thankful for each step that brought us here, and each step yet to be taken.

Lord, thank you. Thank you for my husband, and my children. Thank you for my Mom and what she means to me and to our family. Thank you for my friends who have been so supportive, financially, emotionally, and physically. Thank you for my other family, my sister and brother and their families. Thank you for bringing us to where we are, and for guiding us to where we will be. I love you. Please please hold our little boy close and remind him that when he sees his friends with their new Momma & Papa that soon it will be his turn. Soon he will have a Momma & Papa there to take him home. Keep him safe until we can be there to bring him home. Amen.
