Sunday... amazing what a week can do...

Not too much excitement to report today. Went to church, tried a new recipe for lunch (three thumbs up, Joey didn’t eat it, he is still easing back into eating since being sick), cleaned the house, worked on a little paperwork, got everything ready to take with me to Des Moines tomorrow, vacuumed and washed the van (ok, went to an automatic wash, but *I* did the vacuuming).

When we got our insurance settlement for the flood in the basement, there was a “replacement benefit” that will pay the difference in the replacement cost and the settlement cost. It’s not a huge amount, but it’s going to go into our adoption fund just like all other “extra” cash we’ve been able to stash.

I’m heading to get our dossier apostilled tomorrow! I’m so excited. I know, who gets excited about going to a big office where you might have to sit and wait for an unknown amount of time for some papers? ME! And any other soon-to-be-adoptive Mommy! LOL

Of course, the trip will also be made complete by a visit to Archivers and Memory Bound. I don’t have any extra money to buy any goodies, but I HAVE to go there and drool a little bit. Hehe I hope to get to see a friend while I’m there too, maybe for lunch. All of that depends on how long the paperwork takes though because that’s the real reason for the trip. That’s my story and I’m stickin to it!
