Been a busy day...

Nothing in the mail today though… I did get a call from Jessica from Senator Harkin’s office though. She’s on the case. She’s not getting any answers either. Hopefully one of us will get an answer tomorrow.

In the mean time, I’ve been baking today. I made 8 dozen double chocolate chip cookies for our bake sale. They are all packaged and ready. Tomorrow I’ll make about the same amount of chocolate chip cookies and some regular brownies, and some cream cheese swirl brownies. I hope we get some good stuff donated too. I’m thinking I might make a cake or two Friday evening if I have time. I also went today and got some more donations! We have BUNCHES of goodies to sell at our sale!! I got the ad in the paper, and an extra little “blurb” in a section called “Hawkeye Happenings”. People who might not pay attention to the “garage sale” ad will see it there. I hope. I’m going to get the hot dogs and drinks in the morning to sell too. I’ll be working on the signs for Saturday tomorrow too. I’m hoping for some cash/check donations as well as the sale stuff.

I also made the flyer for our Volleyball Tournament. My friend Sara is making calls for donations from local businesses. I picked up one of them for her tonight… two $30 carwash/detail gift certificates. YAY!! I have a couple of calls to make tomorrow about it too.

We need around $6500 to have everything set for our trip. I still need to pay the fees for the apostilling, and the postage to get our dossier to Timothy’s country. Other than that we have plane fare, housing & food in country, transportation in country, facilitation fees, and then there’s Timothy’s visa, medical exam, and other paperwork fees. Ugh!!

I still know that this is where we are supposed to be… this is God’s will. Timothy is meant to come home to our family. He will continue to provide for us, and for him.

Please pray with us that God blesses our upcoming fundraisers. Pray for our little boy.

Hang on Timmy, we’ll be there soon.
