Once again... God was Faithful

Today was our Rummage Sale. To say that it was a good day would be an understatement.

After working hard, in the heat, sorting, and pricing, and getting things set out and ready yesterday and last night, I was a little worried. Honestly, we had SO MUCH stuff. Our neighbors and people in the community donated every bit. I had a few things left from other sales here, but everything else was donated from other people. This morning, on my way to Mom’s, I put up the signs. As I was pulling down the street to her house, the song “That’s what faith can do” by Kutless came on the radio. It’s actually the first song on the playlist on this blog. I felt like it was God saying “Just have faith in today”.

We had a wonderful group of helpers both last night, and today. Erin, Suzie, Christy, her daughter Erin, Teresa, Andy, Evan, Lisa, and my Mom worked HARD to help get things set up, and all through today. There is NO way that today would have been as much of a success without all of the help. I could never have done it myself. As it is my body is protesting. LOL I have muscles aching that I forgot I had! hehe

When all was said and done, we made $1016.30 for Timothy’s adoption fund. To add to that, a very thoughtful, wonderful friend gave the money to cover the rental of the tent, so we didn’t have to have that as an expense off the top. I think I spent around $60 on food, drinks, etc. But I didn’t even bother to count that in our total. I was just thrilled with making over $1K. God blessed us abundantly.

Faith is a powerful thing. God is awesome. ‘Nuff said.
