Back to School Shopping... UGH!!

This weekend was a “tax holiday” in many places, including Iowa. Clothing and shoes have no sales tax this weekend. Combine that with shopping the clearance/sales and we get a lot for our tiny budget. Olivia got several cute little outfits, and her “First day of School” dress, and sneakers. Kati got some jeans, a few tops, socks, underwear, and two prs of shoes. Joe got some pants, three shirts, socks, and sneakers. I got Timothy a jacket, and a pr of pants. I got a pr of “good” walking shoes, and John got socks. LOL Kids are happy though, and I came in UNDER budget, so Momma’s happy too!

As we were shopping today Olivia kept saying she needs a backpack for school. I kept telling her that she didn't need it yet, or we'd get her one another day. The truth is, Nonnie (my Mom) got her one for her Birthday with Hello Kitty on it. She's going to LOVE it!

I would have taken advantage and gotten a few things for me for the trip but I don’t know what the weather will be like when we go, I was hoping for summer, but that doesn’t look like it’s going to happen, more like fall.

Amy called me today, she has messed up her back! She might have to postpone our portrait fundraiser tomorrow. WAH!! IF she isn’t able to, we’ll reschedule for the 22nd, but I’m not sure how that will work for those involved. So PRAY that she is ok.
