Wednesday... in case you've lost track...

Tomorrow is Thursday. Submission day. It’s almost 5 am in Timothy’s country. In a few hours, while we are sleeping, three dossiers will be submitted to the officials in charge of adoptions in that country. Three families lives will be changed as they take another huge step in the journey that God has put them on to bring home their child or children.

I have seen so many Thursdays come and go since we started this journey. I have always been excited to wake up on Thursday morning and find out just who was submitted. It’s the next big step in the journey.

While we waited for our approval from USCIS, each Thursday that went by I would find myself getting more and more jealous of the ones who were passing us up in the process. Why? What was God waiting for? Why wasn’t He allowing our approval to come through so we could make it to that step too? We may never really know the answers to those questions. I have seen a few things that we might have missed though, if we had been gone. Being here for John’s family and with them when he lost his Father, Kati’s 13th Birthday, the anniversary of my Dad’s passing & the committal of his ashes… I’m sure there are other things… maybe those things are the reason that God wanted to keep us here… whatever the reasons, we accept that it is HIS timing, not ours. Of course, it doesn’t keep us from wishing, and praying, and hoping…

Our dossier has been in EE since Labor Day. We got the “OK” from Yulia which means that all of it is there, and ready to be submitted.
Could tomorrow be “our” Thursday? Guess you’ll have to check back here to find out, although, you might just be able to hear me SCREAMING from where ever you are in the world. hehe

Father, be with Timothy tonight. Let him know that we love him, and you love him. Be with the other families waiting for word from the teams tomorrow about paperwork. Hold each of your children close tonight, especially the ones that are still waiting. Thank you SO much for the blessing of our fundraiser today, and for Sarah and all of her hard work. We love you.
