Today I made the phone calls to change a couple of appointments. One of them was the kids’ 6 month check up and cleaning with the dentist. When I called to have it rescheduled, I knew it would be a couple of months, this dentist is tough to get an appointment with, we love him though, so it’s worth it. Not to mention, by moving it up a little, the next one should fall after school is out for the summer next year. hehe Ok, so anyway, our appointment is on December 23. hehe Kati was upset because they won’t get to miss school (they’ll be on Christmas break). *I* was excited because I made the appointment for my FOUR kids!! Holy cow!!
I think that we have all of the “stuff” that we need to take with us. I also am pretty much “ready” other than packing our clothes/toiletries. We have two adapter/converter thingys… we have anti-biotics... we have bunches of extra stuff… lol I have to take some things out of the big suitcase though because I’m afraid that it’s gonna weigh ten tons! I keep putting things in and taking them out and putting them back again and taking them out… LOL
It has been amazing to see all of the families that have committed to bringing home one or two or three special children through Reece’s Rainbow. Someone figured it out and there have been 36 children who have been committed to in the last month. *36* children who will be home soon!! Families who have wonderful new children, new siblings, new hope. It’s amazing.
God has moved many mountains for many families, and many children. There have been paperwork issues, and health issues, and issues with the authorities in charge of the decisions, and money issues… God has provided. He has blessed so many of my friends through their journies. The Nalles, with Aaron. The Heims, with Darya. Mallory & Peach. The Falvos with Benji & Taya. The DeLlanos’ with Timothy…
Yeah, that’s us. I still go from “Wow!” to “Holy Crackers, we leave in 10 days!!” lol
