We had a busy day today. Just the usual Saturday stuff. Ran some errands, got a few groceries, lunch, etc. After that was all done, I went to Mom’s and cut out the pieces to a couple of purses/tote bags that I’m going to make tomorrow. Although, we have church first, then the house cleaning and laundry… after all of that is done though, we’ll be just sitting back enjoying the rest of our long weekend.
We don’t do much in the way of “celebrating” Labor day. John will be home though, and so will the kids, and no daycare kids, so maybe we’ll do something fun as a family. Might be the last time we get to do that for a while. John’ s been working so hard with both of his jobs, we don’t get to see much of him on the weekends, so a whole day together will be nice, even if we don’t do much of anything.
Labor Day weekend has been a rough one for our family over the years so it’s sort of a joke that we don’t go anywhere or do anything on Labor Day weekend. LOL When he was five, my little brother was missing for 22 hrs the Friday before Labor Day. There have been accidents, hurricanes, a tropical storm, family emergencies, you name it, and we’ve lived through it, all on Labor Day weekend, seriously. Now, I’m not really a superstitious person, but why tempt it? hehe
Lord, tonight I thank you for my friends. I thank you for your continued provision. I ask that you bless our finances, help us to raise the last bit of money we need to bring our little guy home. You know our needs, and you know the outcome even before we ask. Hold Timothy tight tonight, and let him know that he is loved by his earthly Momma & Papa, and his Heavenly Father. Amen.
