Just Wow...

Ya know, God will never cease to amaze me. I mean, you would think that after all of the blessings that we have received in the past few months, and all of the miracles He has shown us, I would just get used to His power. Of course, I know that if that were ever to happen, I’d be in trouble, so I’m glad that I am amazed at His wonder.

We are still in need financially for our trip. I have the utmost faith that He will provide, in just the right time, and just the right amount. If I ever doubt that, I just have to look back at the posts that I’ve made on this blog.

Today God showed His provision once again. I posted our need on my Facebook status. Within just a little while, there was a donation made to our ChipIn!!! With the donation that was made yesterday, and the two made today (one from an old scrappy friend in WI, and one from a church family), there is enough in our PayPal account (I have the credit /debit card from PayPal and will use that to order our plan tickets when it’s time) for ONE ticket!! We only need to raise/make enough for one more!!

I have all of the odds and ends for the trip. I have things for Timothy, and things to make life a little easier for us while we’re there (like crystal lite packets, splenda packets, some packages of hot choc, a flashlight, an umbrella lol), the only thing left is to actually pack it all, and our clothes/toiletries. There is still paperwork to print, and a couple of other things in the area.

Now we wait. We wait to see if the vote that is coming up in Timothy’s country actually takes place and what happens with it. It has been an issue before, but nothing came of it. If it happens, and they indeed vote, international adoptions from his country might end. This would be a tragedy for many families who are working to bring their children home, include ours. The real tragedy though would be for the children that might be stuck there forever, in orphanages, and internats, and institutions that no one should ever have to be in much less a poor defenseless child. Please pray that this vote doesn’t happen, or that if it does, they favor keeping international adoptions open. God is much greater than government.

I’ve been working on making our thank you cards. I don’t even have a complete list made yet of whom we need to send them to. I know that there are MANY though…

I praise you Lord for your faithfulness to our journey. Thank you for your provision. Thank you for who You are. Thank you for loving me, and for loving my family. Please be with Timothy and keep him safe until we can get there for him. Please guide the officials who are there in his country. Help them to see that allowing children to be adopted internationally, they are saving their lives.
