Weekends go so fast. LOL
Yesterday, I went to a crop for my friend Teresa’s Birthday. It was so nice. Just a few women, some I’d never met, sitting and visiting and crafting (or working on a power point presentation for work LOL). I worked on Timothy’s Birthday party invitations.
Today we went to church. After church, John brought the kids home and I went to do the errands, groceries, etc. Once I got home and all was put away, we had supper (Hyvee pizzas were on sale YUM!), and after that was all done and cleaned up, I got out my goodies and finished Timothy’s invites. They turned out cute, if I do say so myself. hehe I’ll post a pic once I have them mailed out. I'm so excited because it will be his "first" Birthday, even though he's turning *5*!!
Today was Superbowl Sunday. My parents always made a “day” of SB Sunday. We’d have munchies, and finger foods (spinach balls! YUM!), and we’d watch the game (ok, mostly for the ½ time show). I’ve been thinking a lot about Dad the last few days. I miss him.
There are some scary things happening in the RR adoption world right now. Tomorrow, in Ukraine, a little girl’s life will be decided. She was transferred to an adult mental institution last year. She is 5 years old. No child has ever been adopted out of this particular institution. Tonight while we sleep her parents will speak to the director who will decide if this little girl can come home. If he agrees, this could open the door for many other children to come home from the same place!! Please pray!!
Another family has made a terribly difficult decision and for reasons that no one but God and they know, they left Ukraine and came home after meeting the little girl that they were hoping to adopt, and before meeting the two little boys they had gone to adopt. I can’t imagine the agony of the decision that they had to make. Please pray for this family, and for the sweet children that they left behind. Little Vera had already met them, and had been told that they were her Momma & Daddy. We don’t know the circumstances, and as humans we speculate, but ultimately, it is something that only God can heal. As a Mom, I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been. Please pray for this family. God knows who they are.
And, for tonight, the last thing… I mentioned a little boy a couple of posts back. Alexander has already been transferred to an institution. No child belongs in an institution. This little boy is so spunky, and adorable, and full of life… Here is a video of him…
His family is out there. We need to find them. There are bunches of Mommas working on fundraising and we are hoping to raise a full grant for this sweet little guy so that his family won’t have to worry about how to raise the money, they only have to answer the call to “Go!” and bring him home. Please pray for Alexander, and for his family.
I am praying
ReplyDeleteI wish we could adopt, though I doubt hubby would be on board. Everywhere I've checked in to we don't meet some criteria or another. I'm praying for mommies and daddies to step up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting about Alexander -- I know his family is out there!!!
