Yesterday was a happy day for some even though it was a sad day for a few. I found out yesterday that TWO of the four families who are bringing home kiddos from Timothy’s former orphanage are traveling SOON… like in the next two-ish weeks!! And another had their dossier submitted!! I’m SO excited for them!! Knowing now what I didn’t know then, going back would be SO cool! I would love to go back someday to visit, just to show the kids where we were and where Timothy came from (and no Carrie… not to bring home #5!! hehe).
Other than that bit of excitement, not much else is happening around here. I’ll be getting ready for the big party in the next couple of days. I’m pretty excited to get to show off our little guy to some friends who haven’t met him yet. Of course, then there’s the whole cake thing… hehe I can’t wait!! I even found him a t-shirt that says “Party Animal” on it and it has a monkey on it. Perfect for him! hehe
Timothy is going to get his first “real” haircut this morning!! Of course, I might have to throw water on Chrissy so she’ll be calm enough to even do it! hehe I’ll post pics, I promise!
We did get some late winter snow last night and more is expected through the weekend. Not enough to deter our party guests though, I hope.
Actually, I was looking back through FB messages from around this time last year… sometime in February is when I “bumped” into my old high school friend Maria which started the wheels turning for what Paul Harvey would call “The Rest of the Story”.
It’s hard to believe that this time last year, God had already put things in motion for us to bring Timothy home.
Happy Birthday to Timothy!!! PARTY TIME, YAY!!! The truck looked SO COOL!!! Timothy is so super sweet!!! And ya know what Timothy said to me....he would like a new brother or sister for his 5th birthday to be sibling #5....how fitting! hehe. Come on... you know you want too! hehe
