I’ve been feeling a little punchy today and have been arguing with myself whether to even try to put a post together.
Timothy is still as adorable as he ever was. His Birthday is Sunday!! He’ll be 5. It’s hard to remember that though since he is so little. I think we might do just a little cake for the 6 of us on Sunday evening, but his BIG party is on the 27th. I am excited about that one too. I’m hoping a few friends who haven’t met him might be able to come. This will be his very first Birthday party!! I’m going to get a little cake just for him too, like we have for all of our kids for their “First” Birthday.
I took Olivia to have her third wart treatment this morning. Poor kiddo, this one has been the worst. The last one did a great job, and the doc scraped a lot of dead skin off before they put the med on this time, which basically made the area “raw” because the callous around it was gone. Tonight there is a big spot on it which I think is the “core” so I am praying this is the last treatment that she’ll need. Poor baby, I hate to see one of my kids in pain.
Kati had a rough Valentine’s day on Monday, it seems that some of the girls in her class thought it would be funny to send a note to one of the 8th grade boys saying that she likes him, etc. Nasty teen girl stuff. I wish there was a way to protect her from things like that. She has her Solo Band Competition on Saturday, that should be fun.
Joe has been having tough days. I have to keep reminding him that there is no option, he HAS to do the work assigned, and he HAS to stay at school, for some reason he has gotten it into his head that if he misbehaves enough they’ll just send him home. Nope…
John has been having a tough time for the last few days. I wonder if there’s something in the water… LOL Anyway, he has decided that he’s going to drop the Nursing Program. It’s just not conducive to having a full time job (2nd shift), and a family. His days have consisted of leaving the house around 6:30 am, come home for maybe an hour before leaving for this or that appointment (for work), and then heading to work (3-11pm). Starting all over the next day. If the kids were lucky they got to see him on the weekends. They just added Saturday to his work week though, so now he’ll be gone then too. It was just too much for him(ok, all of us!). So now at least he’ll get to see them in the mornings before school. I’m so glad that he likes his job though, and that he’s doing really well there, they seem to like him too. hehe
So, there you have it, a little synopsis of the happenings around here this week.
Lots of awesome things happening in the world though… The Lanes met (and fell in LOVE with) their girls… Masha & Alexander have families… two new babies were born into our church family… God is moving… and blessing us all!!
I'm no expert, and I can't speak for everyone else, but our household is going through a lot of negative type feelings right now too. I think its cabin fever. "C'mon spring!!!" you have each other, God and LOVE. It will get better. That is what everyone tells me, so i'll pass that to you too! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh, I love the sidebar picture of Timothy in his glasses!!! Did you ever get my e-mail I sent you a few weeks ago? You said you had a question for me, so I e-mailed you. I know life gets so crazy, especially as your post says, but feel free to e-mail me if you need anything!! I feel so bad for your daughter- girls can be so cruel and embarassing to each other. :( Poor thing!
ReplyDeleteTom works 1 pm-12 am, and it's wonderful having him home in the mornings. I am glad you will have that too now!! :)
xoxo, Kari
Happy Birthday to Timothy!!! It's Gabe's B.Day Sunday too! He will be six:) That's so neat that they share a birthday, especially since Timothy is the first one that lead me to my Gabe:)
