I haven't forgotten everyone!

It’s been a busy couple of days and I haven’t had a chance to post. I just wanted to be sure everyone knew that even in the busyness God is still working His magic with our fundraising. Of course, the devil is too. As we get closer to having the first bit of money that we need, there is that niggling worry that something will go wrong with the home study, or something else. I mean, neither of us has a criminal issue that will keep us from having a clean report. It’s just one of those feelings I suppose.

The reason for the busyness is because of Grandma’s passing, and I have been sick with a cold to top it off, actually probably a sinus infection. I came home yesterday and went right to bed… that is very unheard of! I felt better today though so it was a good move.

Grandma’s funeral was yesterday and it was really nice. It was in the same place as my Grand-dad’s in New Boston, IL. I hadn’t been to that church since his funeral. It was nice that the whole family was there, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc, etc. My brother didn’t make it, he just started a new job and couldn’t miss the second day. One of my aunts and her son didn’t make it either (her hubby is my uncle, it was his mom who passed). Anyway, it was interesting looking around the room and seeing all of us all grown up, with kids, some with grandkids.

I keep thinking of our sweet little guy. I want so much to be able to just send the money to “commit” to him.

I’ve been working on some page toppers, and characters, and such for scrapbook pages, or cards to sell at our crop and our garage sale. I’ll call in the morning about the table for the 4th of July street fair.

I have the puzzle that we’ll use for our puzzle fundraiser. I’m going to take it to church and see if our church family will donate for that. I’ll also take it to any other event I have or go to to get the pieces “sold”. Once it is complete, I’ll frame it in a two sided frame so that our little guy will always know when he looks at it, who was responsible for helping to bring him home.
