The Cleaning Continues

I've heard from lots of people, including our Social Worker, that the Home Study doesn't really include a "white glove" inspection. They are mostly looking for the safety of our home. Well, despite that, I have been on a cleaning frenzy! John said today that I'm "nesting"! Hehe I suppose that's what it is! Too funny!

We have been needing to clean the basement for months... ok, years... It's FINALLY done!! John did an AWESOME job and even had to take two loads to the dump!! Well, all but the laundry area, which is my job, and I couldn't get down there today. No biggie, it's just a matter of emptying the trash and sweeping up. I worked on the girls' room today. I went through all of the drawers and took out clothes that don't fit, and that they don't use. I took a large bag of trash out, and a large bag of garage sale stuff to the porch. The worst part is tomorrow evening... Joey's room... which will one day be the boys' room. Eventually Timothy will be sharing a room with Joey. I'm not sure Joey's very happy about it right now, but it's still a new concept to him. It takes him a little longer to process things. I can't remember if I mentioned that he is our other "special" boy. He has Asperger's Syndrome. He is doing well, almost straight As in school, mainstreamed with accomodations in 9th grade. He has the mental capacity of about a 9 or 10 year old. He is a great kid, I think we'll keep him. hehe

I have gotten packages in the mail for the last couple of days from some WONDERFUL scrappy friends who have sent me cards to add to my sale, and goodies for my "Crop to Adopt". God is SO good!!

We are closing in on Mother's Day which is the day I have prayed that we'd have our Home Study funds raised. Please pray that we reach that goal.
