Today was a good day...

Yesterday I emailed back and forth with Andrea from Reece’s Rainbow for a bit. She is trying to make sure that those of us who are close to having our paperwork ready to submit know that we need to have the money ready to travel. Believe me, I know. I think about it every day. I think about the money we still need, for the trip, and to leave here for my family to take care of the kids (food, etc) while we’re gone, for the facilitator in Timothy’s country, for our food and place to live while we’re in country, for his Visa, passport, medical exam… I’m sure I’m forgetting something… There’s so much that still needs to be paid for…

I put out a plea on Facebook. My friends came through like gangbusters!! ALL SORTS of ideas where flying!! We have our photography fundraiser with Amy next Sunday (I need to find that list so I can call everyone to remind them!), we have our rummage/bake/jewelry sale & maybe(hopefully) a silent auction on August 21. I'll also be having an Usborne Book sale happening soon. We do still have our AdoptionBug t-shirt sales happening too! However,I know though that those things won’t be enough. God will bless us, I KNOW that, He already has with donations for our sale!

Now though, we also have a Pampered Chef party/book party in the works. An Abby candles sale possibly happening (I’ll get more info on that in a couple of weeks so we’ll get the fall catalog). AND… possibly a Plate Lunch after church on a Sunday (or two) at church (I have to talk to our Pastor/Elders first!!), another “Crop to Adopt” but this time it will be Moms on Fri night, and Mom & Me on Saturday where our croppin’ kiddos can come and crop with us!! AND… the MOST exciting… a softball tournament!!! I need to get the details on that yet, but how FUN!! That is happening on September 18 &/or 19th.

I had a need, I prayed about it, and I asked for help from my friends. God gave me more ideas than I can even imagine through all of my thoughtful, creative friends!!

Once we raise the money that we need to bring Timothy home, I plan to continue fundraising to donate to other families!

I assured Andrea that we would have the money. Beg, borrow, or steal, we will have the money! God is going to make sure of it! He is already working on it. :::big sigh of relief:::
