A new ChipIn! added

The reality of things has set in a bit in the last few days. Someone commented that we could very well be on our way to get Timothy by the end of July. We have been praying very hard to have him home by August, that is just the time that *I* had in my head. Mostly because we thought it was his birthday month, but mainly because that is a good time for our family, before the big kids go back to school, etc. That would just give us more family bonding time.

I am working hard to get our dossier completed, and am filling out as many grant applications as I can, but because it is an "independent" adoption, and we aren't using an agency, the options are limited in the grant area. While I can understand this, it makes it so difficult.

Our homestudy was completed in record time, and I will forever be grateful to our wonderful social worker, Carla, who went out of her way to make this happen. She even worked over the holiday weekend (Memorial Day).

Time is crucial now. We desperately need help with finances. All of our extra money is going into our "Timothy fund". We are paying our regular bills, but we've cut back on all extras that we can (I will admit, we still go "out" to lunch on Sundays as a treat, but we have budgeted for that). We have even put our insurance "settlement" monies aside for him(other than replacing the washer & dryer, & furnace, we're praying that the hot water heater hangs on until after we get him home). I have taken on an extra summer "job" to help as well (teaching summer enrichment classes for kids at the local colleges). We are also working on another garage/rummage sale in early July.

We are truly trying, and God is blessing us.

Please pray for our finances. Please pray that God will continue to bless us & make a way for our sweet little boy. He isn't just a little kid with Down syndrome halfway around the world; he is our son, a part of our family. One of God's precious orphans that He called us to save.
