Soooo… an update… Well, we’re all doing pretty well
actually.
I’ve had some frustrations with Timothy lately, but I think
it’s probably because his little body has gotten used to his (low) dose of
meds, and he’s ready for a bit of tweaking.
We were supposed to go this week but the doctor had to reschedule. It sort of worked out though because they
were able to set the new appointment for the same day as his ophthalmology
appointment that is in the afternoon.
YAY!! If you know how big city University
hospitals work, you know that is nearly impossible! He has
taken to yelling, back “talking”, not listening, looking straight at me and
pretending not to hear… in the van on the way home from school he takes off his
shoes, socks, and glasses and tosses them (he does this when we go places too),
plus the noise level, and being aggressive to the other kids. I think it’s all just a “toddler tude”. I mean, really, he didn’t get to BE a
toddler, ya know? Of course, that does
NOT make it ok, or any easier to deal with at the time. LOL
Joe & Kati brought home Honor Roll report cards this
semester. I’m so blessed to have such
smart kids!
They do come by it naturally
though, of course. :::smile:::
Olivia is also on the high end of brilliant. She is reading already! Yep, in Kindergarten folks! I’m astonished daily by what that girl
knows!
John is heading to Miami to see his Mom this weekend. I wish we could all go but we just can’t
afford it. His Birthday is on Monday, so
I’m off the hook for giving him a gift, a weekend in Miami pretty well covers
it. As hard as it is, his Mom is
getting older, and her health isn’t what it used to be so taking the time to go
now while they can enjoy it is important.
I think he’ll have a better visit without the rest of us there to be a
distraction anyway. Even if they just
sit and watch television the whole time he’s there, she will be thrilled that
he is there. Of course, that doesn’t
make me wish I could go any less. LOL
I do get to go off for a weekend though in a few weeks, for
a scrapbooking weekend. YAY!!
Next post will have pics, I promise! J
Ya, Timothy's twin here is sportin' some "toddler tude" too. :-( Hang in there! Hope the med adjustments help. Glad to hear the other kids are doing so well!
