This is our family. It's not always sunshine and roses, but whose is?
We brought our youngest son home from Ukraine in November of 2010. We've been settling into our "new normal" ever since.
It was a wild ride, but one that we would do all over again in a second to bring our sweet little guy home!! Thanks for visiting!

3/5/2010 - The first time I laid eyes on Timothy & Reece's Rainbow
3/12/2010 - Convinced John I wasn't kidding! We prayed about commiting to Timothy (in my heart, I was already committed!)
4/16/2010 - Timothy's Family Found him!! (he was moved to the "My family found me!" page on RR)
4/16/2010 - Rec'd Certified Copies of Marriage Cert. (3) from FL (THANK YOU Cindy!!)
4/24/2010 - Timothy's Family Sponsorship Page went up!
4/27/2010 - Sent $275 to RR
4/29/2010 - Sent $1000 to RR (we're "officially" committed to our boy now!!)

5/26/2010 - Getting letter from CPA for my proof of employment. Signing paperwork for Summer Enrichement job (extra $ for our Timothy fund!). $100
5/28/2010 - Apostilled POAs & CSP came back! Sent to Timothy's country!! They'll be there on Wednesday (6/2) $99.76
5/29-30/2010 - Home Study Visit $950
5/31/2010 - Photos for passports (FREE a gift from the photo lady at Walmart)
6/1/2010 - Applied for Passports $202.20 - Sent out letters to businesses for donations - POAs & CSP arrived safely in Timothy's country!! YAY!!
6/2/2010 - Draft of HS report!! Our SW ROCKS!!
6/3/2010 - Sent Marriage certificates back to FL to be apostilled. Gulp!! This is for the Dossier!!
6/8/2010 - Recieved Final HS report! Needed a couple of fixes though, so emailed SW to request updated HS reports. HS sent to statside team and approved pending updates.
6/14/2010 - Started Summer Enrichment teaching job. Checked on status of Passports, mine should arrive on or around 6/20. John's "not in the system". Not too sure what that means, will check again in a couple of days. UGH!
6/15/2010 - Still waiting for corrected HS. Rcv'd Apostilled Marriage Certificates.
6/17/2010 - Rcv'd Passports *&* Fingerprinting appointment letters!! Got the last batch of paperwork notarized and sent to the team! Appt is for 7/9
6/23/2010 - Made the trek to Des Moines in faith that they would take us in early for our fingerprinting. YES!!! Mission ACCOMPLISHED!!! Now we wait for the I-171H!
6/25/2010 - Mailed letter of residence to FL for apostilling. DUH! Forgot it when I sent the marriage certs. ($10 for apostille & $8.80 for postage)
7/1 - 7/14/2010 - Timothy's country will not accept dossiers during this time, they will open back up on the 15th. I am PRAYING that ours will be there by then!! Please God!! (Didn't make it! Still waiting on our USCIS approval)
7/4/2010 - Craft table at West Burlington 4th of July celebration. Praying for a HUGE turn out!! (This was a very disappointing BUST!) :(
7/16/2010 - Our Dossier is basically done! Waiting for I 171h and one more letter from the ILs about our housing. Then to the SOS for apostilles!
7/24/2010 - First USCIS pink slip! They requested more info.
7/29/2010 - SW sent packet (updated HS, letters of empoyment, tax forms) to USCIS. Now we wait... again...
8/5/2010 - Rec'vd updated HS.
8/8/2010 - Fundraiser with Amy Tobias SUCCESS!!! $765.00
8/12/2010 - John's Dad passed away. We went to FL for the funeral. 8/13 - 8/16 :(
8/21/2010 - Despite a gazillion set backs... RUMMAGE SALE!! SUCCESS!!! $1018.30
8/23/2010 - APPROVED!!!!!! Should be getting our 171h in the mail in the next couple of days. Thank you God!!
8/27/2010 - FINALLY received our I-171h in the mail!
8/30/2010 - Heading to Des Moines to get the apostilling done! Then to fax the dossier to have it checked before mailing. DONE!!! $160.00
9/3/2010 - FedEx'd the Monster! Dossier is en route to Timothy's country!! Praise God!! $134.00
We also got to move to the "Almost There" page on RR. :)

10/13/2010 - Dinner at TGIFridays with the Lutzs, the Parkers, and the Deans.
10/14/2010 - 10:00 am SDA appointment
10/15/2010 - Had lunch with the Howells, another adopting family (not RR) at a real Ukrainian cafeteria!! Picked up referral from SDA It's official, we can go to his region to meet him!
10/16/2010 - Had lunch with the Bachmans, and the Westbrooks
10/17/2010 - Traveled to Timothy's region by train with the Bachmans
10/18/2010 - MET OUR SON!!
10/28/2010 - Court - Adoption Approved!
10/29/2010 - John went home. :(
11/8/2010 - Ten day wait is OVER!!
11/9/2010 - Court decree picked up.
11/10/2010 - New Birth Certificate for Timothy Danil DeLlanos issued.

11/15/2010 - Going away party for Timothy with his groupa. His last night in the orphanage
11/16/2010 - Pick up passports & GOTCHA DAY!!!! Train trip back to Kiev
